Mages ~ The struggle
I wanted to play a mage from long ago since it was my favorite voc always and always will be. The thing is tho, on this server mages are insanely hard to level compared to the other classes. Its okay, i know pallys and EKs should be the leading vocs on the start of a server, but just check out the highscores, from the top 100 of the server im sure 95% are pallys and eks and that discrepancy is only gonna get wider since the 1x regen on this server, coupled with the max 2 MCs BS makes it insanely hard for new players to level mages up.
Im a grown adult, as that ive got things to do in real life, coupled with work will i barely have a few hours of time max per day to play, but since the regen is so damn slow on the server (Serverinfo states its 2x, its not) and the MC Limit will i only be able to make 2 GPs of GFBs in 3 hours per char even if both of them are promoted which is simply way too few then to last for more then a 1,5h hunt every 4 days of constant runemaking.
EKs and Pallys got strong new armor and very strong new weapons, while mages are sitting ducks with weakened summons and the need to runefarm for hours and hours on end just to hunt for a very short period of time.
So, can you either higher the regen rate so it matches the server description (promoted mages get only 30 mana per minute, which makes it a ordeal to make runes) or find some other solution for this problem?
What do the other players think about this?
To make u able to see it ill list the time it takes for a single backpack of runes for mages, the (P) means a promoted char.
HMM: 1h 20 min per backpack, 54 min (P)
GFB: 2h per backpack, 1h 20 min (P)
UH: 1h 40min per backpack, 1h (P)
SD: 3h 40 min per backpack, 2h 27min (P) [< 2,5h for 20 charges...?)
Pallys aswell as EKs get armors with high protection and % elemental damage reduction aswell as weapons that higher theyr damage alot. ive got no problem with that but seeing as how i would literally have to level a pally up to get shittons of money to pay for the leveling of my mage is not something thats enjoyable.
Also once the server population drops and even less people are willing to sell runes then the game would be even more so utterly screwed up for mages.
The regen is fine the way it is. Mages on 7.4 are not for weak players like you.
This is truth. I don't know what exacly it shall be, more than it is now, for sure more. Also as others I don't want to make some big changes to improve those vocs. I want mana regeneration twice faster as it is now, becouse exping is a natural thing - making runes as well, so in case of pvp (when mana will increase) everybody knows there is no time to wait for mana grow. It's good idea. I agree.
Want to add that this is not tibia for full day like it was 8 years ago when we had time

That is indeed true, and i get mages are supposed to be really hard at the start, but im scared that there will be 250 pallys and EKs before a single mage hits level 150, and that the population of the server will stay like this since why trade for a extremely time and money consuming class when you can just smooth sail trough the game and be near unkillable at the end while also having decent damage without having to worry about profit and/or rune aquiring because of the new sets and weapons. Thats what im worried about.

I stopped reading there, i'm sure it doesn't get much better. If you don't have time to play this version of the game why are you here complaining about it? There is so many high rates that suits your needs, you have basically came into a pizza hut and asked why they don't serve fish.
Welcome to a 2x where things are hard because that's the way we like it.
It's fine the way it is now. Yes, mages are hard at the beginning but don't forget the power they have at higher levels. 7.4 is meant to be hard and if you don't have enough time you should either pick another vocation or a whole other game to play. Increasing regeneration would probably mean everyone would go and play a mage. Then you'd have another problem..
Mages are struggle only in the first weeks of server. Just wait some weeks and ppl will start crying. Just wait.
increase mana regeon on promotion from 1mp/2sec too 1mp/1,5sec . not more or nerf paladins....

Ya pallys are good as is, same as knights, they also need a little damage to not suck utterly lategame
I think this thread will be better on SUGGESTIONS, not bug's...
I started to play server on first day and no one got war hammer- barbarian axe, stuffs.. or something better than chain armor and plate shield.... yes i think paladin its very BOOSTED with this crossbow's and other weapons, they can take 150 xhit + 20dmg per turn... i think thats abusive.

mage its kinda dificult at start and dificult to make runes.. i can tell u with friends and me doing GFB's its not suficient to make a decent hunt ... change the mana regen i think its not just for other ppl was played with the low regen mana but... will be nice if admin make a wand a especial ring or a cape just for mages with can increase a little bit the manaregen.

Paladins are overpowered and mages are really hard exp cuz the mana regen its so slow... u need to make runes like 2 days or more for make just 1 good hunt...
Mages are fine as they are. It´s allowed to have 2 clients at the same time so you can make runes kinda fast. Paladins & Knights make lootbags, Mages make runes as always.

Well.. the problem is that both knights and Palladins dms is boosted while mages dmg output is lowered Summons are way weaker on Nastarius then on 7.4 so basicaly you have to hunt with runes. It's not easy to get huge amounts of runes from market so you have to do them by yourself which means 10h of mana siting for 1h hunt with gfb ? That's kinda uncool
I think a good idea would be add some mana regen set for mages. Idk like 3 piece that giev 0.5~mana/3 sec but whole set add additional 1~m/3 sec, and make it use from lvl 50. So only main spec mages can do runes quicker and there wont be massive rune makers at low lvl. Also lootable from dung or mid hard monster like between dragon - dl. That will solve a bit problem with rune making :>.

Let the lowlevel runemakers be able to wear the set, same as knights that can use GS at lvl 8, it will be nice to loot some of that mana regen set from a runemaker haha.
But yeah i think that this suggestion is a very good idea, a regen set for mages would really help out alot since atm u can only decently hunt as a mage if ya either runesit or have a knight buddy thats always by ur side.

Thats why because all got makers so more runes (uhs/gfbs) = more exp per hour for paladins and eks, also runes will be cheaper. You really want that?
Dont look on top5 cuz they alot pg so thats why they have 100+ lvl...
Make paladin or knight to lvl 80-90 we can talk about - that was easy or not.
I am Level 55 Knight (ye Not even ek)
It Took me 12 days to reach this lvl...
But in my opinion Give lvl 50+ mages something +1mana per 2 second like a armor or add to the staff...
